Kodak makes cameras?!
Date of Review: Jun 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: A good camera, A good price, and will last forever.
I bought this camera a few months ago, and I have yet to have a problem with it. It is a quality camera, at a reasonable price, and best of all, takes awesome pictures.
I bought this camera because I needed a camera to take pictures to post on-line for my R/C Car and Truck website. This camera works great! It takes clear pictures and the Kodak Easyshare software is a big plus; works great for sending pictures as well as organizing and editing them. I also like the ability to take short video clips. These come in handy for emailing someone how to operate something, or whatever else you want to take a movie for. The downside is that it has no sound. ALso, you have the ability to take pictures in the pitch dark using night mode. I've tried it out in a closet, and it works fairly well.
The only two problems I have with this camera is that the batteries don't last too long. I use NiMh rechargables, and they last a little longer than the Alkalines. Alkaline batteries last only about 100 pics or so with flash, so have plenty of batteries on hand. I also hate the shudder lag. You have to wait for the camera to click twice before you can move the camera. It's a pain if someone moves the camera immediately after pressing the shudder button like on conventional cameras. It's not really a big deal, though.
