A Nice Camera For those Who Don't know cameras
Date of Review: Jul 6, 2004
The Bottom Line: I recommend buying this camera if you want a good bargin on a good digital camera.
I never really had a camera myself. My parents own a 35mm camera which is one some (like my parents) cling on to. Wile heading off to college, it was about time for me to get my own. I wanted digital, my parents didn't trust them. Boy were they surprised. It started off with buying the cheapest digital we could find, out of stock, so went to the next cheapest, the Kodak Easyshare CX7300. For its price, I was kind of worried, AT FIRST. I pulled out that camera like a new Christmas present (like most new things I get), put in the batteries and away I went. It was easy, and that s saying a lot cause even my Mom, who knew little about computers was able to turn it on and start taking pictures, reviewing, and deleting them.
The Camera comes with an internal memory of 16MB (which is 17 pictures) and we went out and bought an extra 64MB chip (which now adds up to 74 pictures plus 17 for the internal). You are able to change the picture quality as well (if you don t mind this, you are able to take more pictures). Also included in the camera functions are picture color (black and white, sepia, and color), and you are able to put the camera on a timer. You may take a picture by looking through the view glass or by turning on the view screen for a preview. You may also preview taken pictures (zoom-only 3X) and delete unwanted ones to free up more memory.
Finally, loading the pictures are a breeze, you can have a card reader on your computer or hook the camera to a USB port where the pictures come up as an external device. Or you may just take the memory card to a photo development area (target, 1 hr photo, etc) and get them printed out using their equipment).
The only known problem is that of the battery life. It dies pretty quickly when you upload pictures on your computer, other than that, it should last you quite sometime, just take extra batteries along the ride.
This is a great camera for anywhere, and excellent for a college student who wants to send pictures of his horse riding class to his loving parents.
