Wonderful home office phone

I bought this phone about 3 months ago for my new home office and I have no regrets. I wanted a base unit with a cordless so I could wander around the house if necessary. Another of my must-have items was speakerphone, so this phone met all the requirements! It was a little more pricey than other phones, but it was well worth it.
The sound quality is great on both the handset and the cordless, which is no surprise, but the speakerphone functionality is superb as well, which was a bit of a shock. Most "home" model phones that have speakerphone are no good, but this Uniden is different.
The size of the base unit is just right; not too big, not small. The cordless unit is pretty heavy, but I like that; doesn't feel cheap. The displays are orange backlit and very bright; no problems reading in the daylight or dark.
Using the phone is super easy. The menus are very intuitive and everything is where you'd expect it to be. Dialing the phone is...well...just like dialing any other phone, but the buttons have a nice positive feel to them and are hard plastic not that soft stuff which tends to rip or fade after time.
I have not bought any additional handsets but the expandability to multiple handsets is a great feature for the small business buyers out there, like for a small store.
The only bummer with the phone is the price. At $175 it was certainly not easy on the wallet but I don't get the feeling it's gonna break or be troublesome so I guess it's worth it. If you're on a budget you might look elsewhere, but I still recommend this phone even with it's hefty price tag.
My advise? If you need a great home office phone this should certainly be at or near the top of your list.
