Uniden TRU8888 5.8 GHz 1-Line Corded / Cordless Phone

This will be short and sweet. I agree with the review by bmills. However although all the features were great I could never get the answering machine to accept calls. It would announce one word "hello" and then just shut off without taking an incoming message.
I call Uniden and they trouble shot with me and it still did not work. Said I had a defective unit and I should return for an exchange. I did so and guess what----The exchanged unit did the same thing plus it would not register my 4 additional handsets that were purchased with original base unit. I deregistered the handsets and they still would not register to the new base unit.

So even though I thought I had found phones I really liked I am off to return them all tomorrow. I was upgrading from my Panasonic 2.4GHz phones which I had no problems with. I think I will just replace with the Panasonic 5.8
